If you’re lucky enough to be a San Diego State student, future student, or just a visitor, I have a list of 3 coffee shops that you must try. These coffee shops will be your new favorite spots, not just for the freshly roasted, vibrant coffee, but for the uniqueness of each establishment. They all bring something different to the table, but all provide equally amazing coffee.
1.) Living Room Coffeehouse (SDSU)
Living Room Coffeehouse is one of my all time favorite coffee shops. They have a wide variety of drinks. Whether you’re looking for lattes, mochas, or blended beverages, this place has it all. They also have a wide variety of breakfast items as well. They serve pancakes, waffles, the best breakfast burritos, and a lot more! Aside from the coffee and the food, the best part of this place is the cool aesthetic. The shop has a living room vibe, with chill music playing in the background. If you’re looking to get some work done in a relaxing atmosphere, this place will have you covered.
2.) Ultreya Coffee & Tea
Just a short ten minute walk away from Living Room Coffeehouse, you’ll find Ultreya Coffee & Tea. This is another amazing spot with a totally different vibe than Living Room Coffeehouse. Ultreya Coffee & Tea focuses on serving not only the best locally roasted, organic, vegan coffee, but also serving the beautiful community. Ultreya is a Spanish word that means, “Onward”. Ultreya Coffee & Tea works to provide the best coffee to their customers and their community as they move on their journey onward.
The coffee shop has a beautiful, green, nature aesthetic. They have a good amount of space for you to get some work done, in a chill environment as well!
They also have a wide range of merchandise, from t-shirts, incense, oils, cool stickers, and much more.
I highly recommend their Macadamia Nut Latte. 10/10
3.) Chiefy Cafe (SDSU)
Chiefy Cafe is another lovely coffee shop that serves amazing food and coffee. They sell delicious acai bowls, bagel sandwiches and many more delicious meals to go along with your delicious beverage. At the recommendation of the barista, I ordered the Mexicano Latte. I now highly recommend you try it as well! The coffee shop in itself isn’t that big, but has a lot of outdoor seating, making it the perfect place for your dog to join you!
